Bekkjarvik · 60°01′N 5°13′E · From 6 hrs
One of the best kitchens on the coast, reached by boat.
Bekkjarvik is a three-hundred-year-old trading post in Austevoll with a guesthouse that has won more awards than the village has streets.
This is a charter built around a meal. Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri has been serving travellers since the 1600s, and its kitchen has taken Norwegian chef-of-the-year titles more than once.
The route down runs through the island landscape of Austevoll — sheltered, quiet, and dotted with the kind of small harbours that only make sense from the water.
You arrive at the quay rather than a car park, which changes the evening entirely. Time ashore is yours: dinner, a walk around the old trading buildings, or both.

Questions
Is dinner included?
No, but we will book it. Tell us when you reserve the charter and we will hold a table for your group.
Can we go later in the evening?
Yes. In midsummer the light holds until late, and a departure after dinner is often the better version of this trip.
Is the boat private to our group?
Yes. The vessel is reserved exclusively for your group — no other guests aboard and no shared seating.
How many people can come?
Up to twelve guests. The price is for the whole boat, so it does not change with group size.
What happens if the weather is bad?
West-coast weather moves quickly, and the captain will often reroute to sheltered water rather than cancel. If conditions make the trip unsafe, we reschedule or refund in full.
