Rosendal — Return · 59°59′N 6°01′E · From 8 hrs
The Hardangerfjord, out and back, with the route left open.
A full day on Norway's second-longest fjord, with a local guide aboard and time ashore at the Baroniet.
The Hardangerfjord runs 179 kilometres inland beneath the Folgefonna glacier, and Rosendal sits on its southern shore with the only barony ever established in Norway.
The route south crosses Bjørnafjorden and enters Hardanger with the glacier plateau above you for most of the run. A guide travels with the boat, so the landscape comes with its history rather than in silence.
Time ashore covers the Baroniet, its gardens, or simply the village. Then the same water in the afternoon light, which never looks like the morning.

Questions
Is a guide included?
Yes. A local guide travels with the boat on this route, which is not the case on every charter.
What is the Baroniet?
Baroniet Rosendal — the only barony ever created in Norway, built in the 1660s, with a manor house and renaissance gardens on the fjord.
Is the boat private to our group?
Yes. The vessel is reserved exclusively for your group — no other guests aboard and no shared seating.
How many people can come?
Up to twelve guests. The price is for the whole boat, so it does not change with group size.
What happens if the weather is bad?
West-coast weather moves quickly, and the captain will often reroute to sheltered water rather than cancel. If conditions make the trip unsafe, we reschedule or refund in full.
