Rosendal — One Way · 59°59′N 6°01′E · From 4 hrs
A single crossing of the Hardangerfjord.
Arrive in Rosendal by sea and stay. The route across bends to the weather and to you, and we put you ashore at whichever quay in Rosendal suits your evening — the hotel jetty, the guest harbour, or a friend's private pier.
This is the charter for guests who are going to Rosendal anyway — for the Baroniet, for a wedding, for a few days in Hardanger — and would rather arrive by water than by road.
The crossing runs south through Bjørnafjorden and into the Hardangerfjord, with the Folgefonna glacier plateau coming into view as you go. It takes about four hours, and the captain will stop wherever it is worth stopping.
There is no return leg, so the whole crossing can take its time. It is also the only way to arrive at the Baroniet quay the way its guests arrived for three hundred years.

Questions
Why does one way cost nearly as much as the return?
The boat and crew still have to come home. The price reflects the full day either way — the difference is that you are not on board for the return leg.
Can you collect us later in the week?
Yes. Tell us the date when you book and we will hold it.
Is the boat private to our group?
Yes. The vessel is reserved exclusively for your group — no other guests aboard and no shared seating.
How many people can come?
Up to twelve guests. The price is for the whole boat, so it does not change with group size.
What happens if the weather is bad?
West-coast weather moves quickly, and the captain will often reroute to sheltered water rather than cancel. If conditions make the trip unsafe, we reschedule or refund in full.
